Celebrate Foot Health with Healthy Living Chiropractic

March is a special month for us here at Healthy Living Chiropractic. We are celebrating "Arch Madness" and focusing on the feet. Why? Because the feet are the foundation of our body, and they play a vital role in spinal health. In this blog post, we will discuss the importance of foot health, common ailments related to poor foot health, and a tool that we have to evaluate the health of your feet. We will also share some solutions and what we do to help our patients have healthy and happy feet.
All parts of the body are linked together, and the feet are the foundation. The foot-knee-hip-spine-neck all work together to create a healthy and balanced body. The foot has three arches - medial, lateral, and transverse - that work together to create the vault of the foot. When these arches are intact, they provide stability to the foot when it is weight-bearing. However, when these arches fall or collapse, pronation occurs. Pronation is the inward rolling of the foot, and it affects the knee, hip, spine, and neck.

We often see patients with common conditions related to poor foot health. Plantar fasciitis, knee pain, shin splints, and lower back pain are some of the most common conditions we see. Plantar fasciitis is the inflammation of the connective tissue along the bottom of the foot, causing heel pain and stiffness in the foot. Knee pain and shin splints occur due to the inward rolling of the foot, causing stress on the inside of the knee. Lower back pain occurs due to the imbalance created by the un-leveling of the hips and pelvis, leading to weaker muscles.

At Healthy Living Chiropractic, we use Foot Levelers 3D Scan to evaluate the stability of the arches of the foot. This scan uses 16 different measurements to determine the stability of the arches of the foot. The Pronation/Stability Index indicates the amount of collapse in the arch. The higher the number, the more severe the collapse. We also look at the arch height and whether one foot is higher than the other. By analyzing the foot levelers scan, we can design custom stabilizers that support the whole foot and balance the pelvis and hips.

This month, we are offering free foot scans and $20 off all custom orthotics. If you are experiencing any of the above conditions, or you are just interested in what your stability index is, come in this month for your free scan. At Healthy Living Chiropractic, we understand the importance of foot health, and we are dedicated to helping our patients achieve optimal spinal health. Celebrate "Arch Madness" with us this month, and take the first step towards healthy and happy feet.
